The U P Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Saifai, Etawah is an autonomous Institute established on the lines of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. Applications along with bio-data (including all

details) are invited for filling up the following vacancies by direct recruitment or on contractual basis. Eligible candidates will be called for Interview after 15 December 2009 onwards. Venue of interview is at Administrative Block, RIMS&R, Saifai, Etawah.

Reservation:

Reservation of posts for ST/SC/OBC/PH/Ex-serviceman shall be made as per State Govt. norms.

Against vacancies of Associate Professors, the Institute may recruit Professors if necessary. Therefore candidates with requisite qualifications in those specialties for Professor-ship may also apply.

In addition to above persons eligible for the post of Asstt. Professor in the Deptt. of Physiology, Pharmacology,

Pediatrics can also send their applications.

No. of posts can be increased/decreased as per requirement at the time of interview.

Civil & Ex. Army retired personnel can also apply for contractual appointment and retirement age limit will be 65 years.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR FACULTY POSITIONS: A Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act. aforesaid). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D. or a recognized qualification equivalent there to.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE FOR FACULTY POSITIONS:

1. Professor (Sr. Grade): (i) As Reader/Associate Professor in the Deptt. for four years in a recognised medical college. (After MD 14 years teaching experience)

Desirable (ii) Minimum of four research publications indexed in Index Medicus/national journal and one research publication in International Journal.

2. Professor (Jr. Grade) : (i) As Reader/Associate Professor in the Deptt. for four years in a recognised medical college. (After MD 10 years teaching experience)

Desirable (ii) Minimum of four research publications indexed in Index Medicus/national journal and one research publication in International Journal.

3. Associate Professor: (i) As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the Deptt. for five years in a recognised medical college. (After MD 6 years teaching experience)

Desirable (ii) Minimum of four Research publications indexed in Index Medicus/national journals.

4. Asstt. Professor

(i) Recognized postgraduate qualification in the subject.

(ii) Three years post PG teaching experience from recognized medical college.

5. Lecturer

(i) Recognized postgraduate qualification in the subject

(ii) After P.G. one year experience for clinical subject.

6. Lady Medical Officer

(i) Candidate should possess a recognized P.G. Degree/Diploma in Obs. & Gynae (ii) After Diploma one year experience in big hospital/Medical College etc.

7. Casualty Medical Officer

(i) Candidate should possess a recognized MBBS Degree.

(ii) After MBBS three years experience in big hospital/Medical College etc.

Pay Scales: With Pay Commission recommendation is as follows

Maximum Age Limit (as on 01.07.2009): Lady Medical Officer/Casualty Medical Officer/Lecturer-35 years, Asstt. Professor -

40 years, Associate Professor 45 years, Professor (Jr. Grade) - 50 years, Professor (Sr. Grade) - 55 years. Age limit may be relaxed for retired personnel and suitable candidates.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Selected Candidates will have to join immediately.

2. Candidates may also be considered for contractual appointment in case Selection Committee so recommends.

3. The number of posts indicated above are provisional and subject to change without prior notice.

4. Number of vacancies will be filled as per the availability of candidates of different categories in unspecified

vacancies of different specialities/departments.

5. Reservation and Age relaxation for all the reserved Category candidates as per U.P. Govt. Rules.

6. All the faculty will be provided Govt. accommodation and the pension of pensioners will be protected.

7. Reservation norms for (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-serviceman categories) will be determined as per notification of U.P. Govt. only.

8. Candidates should submit demand draft of Rs 500/- in favour of Finance Officer, Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Saifai, Etawah at the time of interview.

9. No. of posts can be increased and decreased.

10. Last date of submis-sion of application form is 15.12.2009.
