IBS, Hyderabad offers high-quality programs in different areas of management to a cross-section of students, executives and professionals across India. IBS is a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, which was declared to be a “Deemed to be University” under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The campus is lush green spread over 90 acres with state-of-the-art facilities like amphitheaters, academic blocks, hostels, faculty residences, ATM center, recreation center, etc. The hostels are with single accommodation with dining facilities. IBS is consistently ranked among the top B-Schools in India, in the annual B-School surveys every year. IBS has a large team of full-time faculty members coming from diverse fields with a unique blend of academic, research and industrial experience. Faculty members are involved in research and consultancy activities besides teaching.

The placements for the Class of 2009 have been completed. More than 90 leading recruiters have participated in the campus placements this year.

Admission:

Admissions Modalities of 2-year MBA, 1-year Executive MBA, 4-year Ph.D. and the 5-year Integrated MBA-Ph.D. Programs are briefly given below.

Eligibility Criteria

• The MBA Program: A bachelor’s degree with medium of instruction as English, from any discipline, with 50% and above as calculated by respective University.
• Executive MBA Program: A bachelor’s degree with medium of instruction as English, from any discipline, with 50% and above as calculated by respective University and 3 years or more of executive level work experience after graduation as on May 01, 2010. Age should be more than 25 years as on May 01, 2010.
• Ph.D. Program: Candidates having 60% and above marks in a two year postgraduate degree/diploma in Management are eligible for admission into the program. Candidates with professional qualifications like CFA, CA, ICWA, and CS are also eligible.
• Integrated MBA-Ph.D. Program: A bachelor’s degree with medium of instruction as English, from any discipline, with 60% and above as calculated by respective University. Students in their final year Bachelor’s degree course are not eligible to apply.
• For all the Programs: For the purpose of determining eligibility (for all the programs) based on aggregate percentage of marks, the procedure used by the respective University in award of the degree will only be taken into consideration. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis). Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis are not eligible. Applicants not meeting the eligibility criterion of English medium have to submit the TOEFL/NELT/IELTS scores by May 01, 2010.

IBSAT/GMAT:

All the applicants seeking admission into the MBA/Executive MBA/Integrated MBA-Ph.D. Programs have to appear for IBSAT 2009. IBSAT is an Aptitude Test. IBSAT is of two hours duration and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT will be held on December 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. at 123 Test Centers all over India.

GMAT scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT Code number of IBS is 7061. Applicants with GMAT score of 550 and above are exempted from appearing for IBSAT.
