Q5. (i). What are the different aspect to be consider in providing a support base for sustainable development? Explain any two in detail.         5

      (ii). Explain the role of skilled manpower in promoting a sustainable development highlighting the various fields where it is required.      5

Q6. (i). Explain the role of soil micro-organisms in maintaining the health of the soil.      5

      (ii). State one reason adopting immediate measures for increasing soil fertility. Explain in detail any two method by which soil fertility can be improved.         5

Q7. (i). Explain the various threads associated with the use of modern methods of pest control in agriculture.       5

      (ii). What is farmyard manure? Mention any three uses of farmyard manure.       5

Q8. (i). Explain the role of alternate technology in environmental management.       5

     (ii). Highlight any two problems associated with movement of agriculture goods form the producers to the consumers. Suggest any three methods for solving those problems.     5

Q9. (i). What is mixed farming ? Mention any three advantages of mixed farming.      5

      (ii).  Explain the benefits of applying Integrated Post Management Practices an agricultural crops.    5

Q10. (i). Environment should be viewed as a capital rather than as a recourse.      5

        (ii).Discuss the need for judicious use of chemical fertilizers.       5
