Eligibility:
Consistently good academic record from School to P.G. Level with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade B+ in a seven point scale in Master’s degree (50 per cent marks or an equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/PH category). The age limit shall be 25 years as on 1st July of the year of the Award, relaxable by 5 years for women candidates and SC/ST/PH.

Min: 3 Years
Max: 6 Years
The candidate to be selected under the scheme are required to register for Ph.D under the rules of the University. The tenure of the RTA will be initially for three years, upon expiry of this period, the work of the Research and Teaching Assistant (RTA) will be evaluated by experts. If the research work is found satisfactory, his/her tenure will be extended for a further period of two years under the enhanced emoluments of the Senior Research and Teaching Assistantship. Thus, the total period of Research and Teaching Assistantship (RTA and SRTA) will be five years, with no further provision of extension.

Admission Details:
• Admission notification is generally released in May/June and the date for submission of filled-in application forms will be 1 July to September 30 for January session and 1 January to March 31 for July session.
• However students are requested to check with the official admission notification for the exact dates related to admission.

Programme Fee:

Rs.6600/- per annum. In case of course work Rs.6600/- extra
The admissions will be available for June/July and December/January sessions.
