University of Rajasthan joins National Knowledge Network

University of Rajasthan has joined National Knowledge Network to promote research throughout the country.

The Network includes total 57 institutes including Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

A network would be established in the varsity for this. The setup is expected to be completed by August 31.

The scholars have to go to central library for e-journals and internet surfing after new changes.

New setup will also solve the problem of less bandwidth and hence curb the problems of speed of Internet surfing, downloading and Video Streaming.

The setup will give advantages of online database sharing, video conferencing between two researchers and a common virtual classroom throughout the country.

The bandwidth of 1 GB and net speed of 10 Mbps will be available after new setup.
