14. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions

given below:

India is primarily land of villages. Hence Gandhiji laid a great stress on rural uplift, village economy and cottage industry. Village life has been changing rapidly since independence. Schools, Hospitals and Parks are springing up in the villages. Villages are being electrified. They are being linked with the cities and other village with Pucca roads. The villagers use to be superstitious and custom-ridden in the past. But TV. Newspapers and-Cinema have brought them in touch with the modern world.

The government has started several projects to provide employment to the villagers. Their traditional crafts are being encouraged by giving incentives. This will help in stopping the movement of rural people towards cities.

Life in Indian village is natural and simple. Nature is around us. Human relations in our villages are sincere and polite. Life here moves on at a slow but sure space.
