13. You are Vinod Kumar. a student of class X-B, in Govt. Boys H. S. School, Rajgarh. Write an application to your Principal, requesting him to grant you leave for four days as your mother is seriously ill.

Write a letter to your friend Sudheer inviting him to your sister's marriage. You are Akhil living at 17. Teacher's Colony, Dewas. 5

14. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions

given below:

Long ago, there lived in Ayodhya a great king called Dashratha.

Kaikay, his second wife caused him to banish Ram for forest from

Ayodhya. The people of Ayodhya who had great affection for Sri

Ram, felt that it was not at all fair that Ram should go to the forest and Bharat, his younger brother, should rule. But Ram did not protest against this decision. He was greatly devoted to his father and wanted to fulfil the promise given by him. He set about preparing for his journey to the forest when with Sita and Laxman, he left Ayodhya, the people followed him for some distance. They wept because they had to part from him.

After a while Bharat returned to Ayodhya from his uncle's kingdom.

The news of Ram's banishment came to him as a great shock. He

refused to be crowned as a king. He said, "It will be unworthy of

me to agree to be king."That will be against the Dharm of the race

to which I belong. My brother's banishment must be cancelled I intend to go to the forest and bring him back to Ayodhya."

What a noble brother Bharat was !
