1. Throw light on the works of Pandit Bhatkhande with special reference to modern trend of Hindustani Music.

 

2. Write a brief history of Ancient Hindustani Music with special reference to ‘Sangeet-Ratnakar’.

 

3. Write short notes on any three of the following :
    Varna, Murchchana, Alankar, Khatka-Murki.

 

4. Write down the Thekas of any two of the following Talas with Dugun Layakari :
    Tilwada, Dhamar, Jhaptal.

 

5. Give your views about the Time-Theory of Ragas in Hindustani Music.

 

6. Give a brief account of the musical life of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan or Ustad Faiyaz Khan.

 

7. Describe fully with illustrations any two of the following Ragas
    Bihag, Bhairav, Bhimpalasi.

 

8. Write in notation a Vilambit Khyal or a Dhrupad in any one of the Ragas prescribed in your syllabus.
