IGNOU invites applications from Post-Graduates with consistently good academic record for Research and Teaching Assistantships (RTA) – January 2010 for the School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS). RTA scheme has been introduced by the IGNOU with a view to providing an opportunity to research scholars to gain experience in the Open the Distance Learning (ODL) system while working in their discipline of the research concerned.
The last date for receipt of filled in applicatin form is 31st October, 2009.
Essential Qualification: Candidates with Master degree / M. Phil in Extension Education, Development Studies, Economics, Political Science, Environment Studies or closely related disciplines with NET will be preferred. The selection of candidates will be through an interview to be conducted by the University.
Job Location, Duration Responsibilities and Emoluments: Six to eight RTAs will be recruited and placed in SOEDS of IGNOU’s Head Quarters (New Delhi) for a period of 3years with a monthly fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- plus HRA and annual contingent grant of Rs 20,000/- (pre-revised fellowship). The RTA is required to do fulltime research under an approved guide and is expected to register for Ph D in Extension and Development Studies, IGNOU with in 3 months from the date of joining at SOEDS, IGNOU.
