15 US universities to woo students at Delhi fair

New Delhi, (IANS) If you want to study in the US and want to know how to go about it, visit an education fair in the capital Thursday in which 15 American universities are participating. That would help.

Organised by United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the fair aims at helping students know more about the various American universities and make the right decision.

Shevanti Narayan of the USIEF said: “In the fair, not only would the students get an opportunity to interact with university officials but will also get to know about scholarships and visa procedures.”

She said the total number of Indians currently studying in the US is 94,563.

The education fair, which went to Chennai Tuesday, is expected to attract over 400 students. The one-day fair would be organised at the USIEF office on Hailey Road, near Connaught Place, Thursday from 1.30-5.30 p.m.

Some of the universities participating are: American University, Washington University, Indiana State University and Colorado University.
