IGNOU and NIIT entered into a Global Partnership

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and NIIT entered into a ‘Global Partnership in Education and Skill Building for Enhanced Employability’ on Wednesday. Vice-chancellor of Ignou, V N Rajasekharan Pillai, and chairman of NIIT, Rajendra S Pawar, announced the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on this partnership.

Under this, Ignou and NIIT plan to collaborate in domains like information technology and management sciences for their India and international operations. A per the MoU, joint programmes in IT and masters programme and stand-alone undergraduate programmes would be offered.

An executive MBA would also be offered as a part of management programmes. The tie-up would also be extended to finishing school programmes that would be available as optional programs for Ignou students and alumni.
