Management student alleges abduction, gangrape by friends

NEW DELHI: A 23-year-old hotel management student has alleged that she was abducted, gangraped and filmed by four men after taking her to three states for about a month.

The victim, a resident of Uttam Nagar in west Delhi, has alleged in her statement to police that she was forcibly taken to different places by a man, whom she knew for about one-and-half years, in his car from Pragati Maidan on August 31. According to her, she was in the custody of her alleged abductors till September 26.

The victim was doing internship in Greater Noida after completing her hotel management course from Punjab Technical University. She was staying there in a hostel and came in contact with a 25-year-old man. They soon became friends.

A case of rape has been registered at Tilak Marg police station. Police claimed that there are several loopholes in the girl's statement. She did not complain to police about her abduction and rape even after she was "freed" by her abductors on September 26. He family had also not filed any missing report when their daughter went missing for so many days.
Police said she had been travelling to Mussoorie and Rishikesh and later to Greater Noida but now claimed that she was abducted.
No arrest has been made so far in this connection.
