Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is an autonomous super‐speciality institute of excellence under Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. ILBS has a Deemed‐to‐be‐University status conferred to it by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The institute is starting Ph.D. 3‐5 year course, in the academic session October, 2010 as per the details given below:

HOW TO APPLY
Candidate may download the prospectus from the ILBS website (www.ilbs.in). The candidate has to fill and submit the application form online. The download link for prospectus and online application will be active from 17th Aug, 2010. In addition to online submission, a print out of the online application form has to be posted to the Assistant Registrar, Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), D‐1, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, 110 070 on or before 5:00 PM of 31st August, 2010, accompanied by the application fee in form of Demand Draft for Rs. 2000/‐ (Rupees two thousand) only, payable at New Delhi, in favor of the “Director, ILBS, New Delhi”. Kindly ensure the eligibility before applying. Application fee once
paid will not be refunded even in case of his/her application is rejected. The filled in applications received after the prescribed date and time shall not be considered. In‐service candidates shall route their application forms through proper channel.
PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION
Selection of candidates for Ph.D course will be made on the basis of entrance test. All applications would be screened for eligibility and only the eligible candidates would be called for the entrance test. The schedule of entrance test is as follows:
• Objective test (Marks 70) 12‐Sep‐2010, Sunday
• Interview (Marks 30) 14‐Sep‐2010, Tuesday
The courses shall commence from first week of October.
