About Us:
The Department is one of the pioneers of management education in India and has so far produced over 1,500 management professionals and entrepreneurs. In the recent ranking of Business Management institutions of the country, it ranked 27th and in the university system its rank was 2nd.
In 1999 the department has introduced an innovative research programme in collaboration with AIMA ( All India Management Association). The programme, titled Executive Doctorate in Bussiness Administration (D.B.A.) caters to senior practicing managers and management teachers who do not have an occasion to pursue through conventional Ph.D. programme. As of now more then 200 practicing managers have taken admission in this programme.
The history of Aligarh Muslim University can be traced back to 1875 when Sir Syed Ahmed Khan established the Muhammedan Anglo Oriental College. The college became a full-fledged University in 1920 and today Aligarh Muslim University offers more than 250 courses to both Indian and Foreign Nationals. In 2009 the AMU MBA Entrance examination will be held 16th June.
Admission to the MBA/MBA (IB), MFC/MTA courses shall be made on the basis of Aligarh Muslim University Combined admission test (CAT), group discussion and interview. Selected candidates in the written test would be called for group discussion and interview/aptitude test.
Eligibility for AMU MBA:
For getting admitted to the Aligarh Muslim University the candidate needs to be a graduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Test Pattern:
The three hour AMU MBA Entrance examination would test the General Awareness, Data interpretation and numerical ability, comprehension and verbal ability of the students.
