ANNOUNCEMENT

News Services Division, All India Radio requires Reporter (English) on casual assignment basis. The candidate should be resident of Delhi & NCR, graduate from a recognised university and 21 to between 35 years of age as on 31.3.2009. The candidate must be holding Degree/Diploma in Journalism or 5 years experience in reporting/editing work in print/electronic media.

The prescribed proforma and more details in this regard can be obtained from our website “www.newsonair.com” or office of Deputy Director (Administration), New Services Division, All India Radio, New Broadcasting House, Parliament Street, New Delhi on any working day from 10 am to 5 pm. The last date for receipt of the application is 25.9.2009 .

Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma from the candidates residing in Delhi and
NCR area who are interested in doing the job of Reporter (English) on casual assignment basis in News Services Division, All India Radio, New Delhi.

written test will be held on 4th Oct 2009.

The final result will be declared on or after 19th Oct 2009.

Result of the written test will be put on website on 9.10.09.

Essential qualification:

1. Graduate from a recognised university
2. Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from
a recognised university/institution or 5 year experience in reporting/editing work in
print/electronic media
3. Proficiency in English

Desirable Qualification:

1. Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV (for degree/diploma holders in journalism –
reference clause (2) above
1. Knowledge of basic computer application..

Age:

The maximum age limit is 21 to 35 years as on 31.3.2009.

A non-refundable processing fee of Rs.300/- for General Category and Rs.225/- for SC/ST/OBC
candidates will be charged. The bank draft in favour of Director General (News), AIR, New Delhi payable at New Delhi may be sent along with the application.

There would be a written test to assess their journalistic and professional capability as well as
knowledge of English. Candidates securing 50% or above marks will be called for interview. Those
securing 50 per cent or more marks in the interview will be placed on the panel.

The written test for the empanelment of casual Reporter (English) will be held on 4th Oct 2009. All
those eligible candidates shall be called for examination and the list of eligible candidates will be put on the NSD: AIR Website on 1st Oct 2009. The venue of the test will also be mentioned in the website. No call letter will be delivered to the candidates for the written examination. Result of the written test will be put on website on 9.10.09. Interview of those who qualify in the written test will be held on 12.8.2009.

The final result will be declared on or after 19th Oct 2009 which will also be available on the NSD: AIR website www.newsonair.com.

Application should reach to the Deputy Director of Administration, News Services Division, All
India Radio, New Broadcasting House, Parliament Street, New Delhi 110 001 before 25th Sept. 2009. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed with ”Application for casual English Reporter in NSD:AIR on assignment basis.”
