The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training is an autonomous statutory authority created under “The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training 1992 Act” for regulating and controlling academic standards in Institutes of Technical Education and for making admissions & conducting examinations in Polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes.
JET is an Objective Type Test with multiple choice questions in the following subjects. English, Mathematics, Science (Chemistry, Physics & Biology), Simple Aptitude Test
The level of the test is of matriculation standard.
Date of Joint Entrance Test (JET) : 22 May 2010.

The Test may be held at all district headquarters and other important towns of Punjab, Chandigarh and other neighbouring States.
Note:
1. Separate Seats earmarked for SC/ST/BC/ Border Area/ Military/ Defence Personnel/ Handicapped/ Freedom fighter/ Riot affected and Sports candidates.
2. The annual fee for the course is Rs. 23,000/- paid in two instalments.
