Admission Announcement: 2010-11
Application Forms and Prospectus for admission to the following programmes of study are being issued by the University from 1st February 2010.
Category 'A' (Through Entrance Examination) - M.Phil/Ph.D., Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D., MPH/Ph.D., M.A., M.Sc., MCA and B.A.(Hons.) in Foreign Languages.
Category 'B' - Direct admission to Ph.D. programme in all School of Life Science either on the basis of viva-voce or written examination and viva-voce both as may be decided by the University.
Category 'C' M.Phil/Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D. in Science Schools except molecular Medicine (only JRF holders) either on the basis of viva-voce or written examination and viva-voce both as may be decided by the University.
Entrance Examination for admission to various programmes of study under Category 'A' will be held between 17th and 20th May 2010 in 51 cities in India and also in Kathmandu(Nepal).
Sets of Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained
(i) through post by sending crossed Bank Draft (Valid for six month) for Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi along with a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms. clearly indicating the Category for witch the Application form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067. Money Order and Cheques are not accepted.
Plrase do not send requests for application form through private courier services.
(ii) In person from the Counter in the Administrative Block of the University on cash payment of Rs. 200/- per set from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm on all working days (Monday to Friday). BPL card holders will be issued a set of application form & prospectus free of cast on submission of a copy of the BPL card issued by the competent authority showing their name in the card.
Important dates:
Last date for issued of Application forms by Post: 5th march 2010
Last date for issued of Application forms at cash counter: 15th march 2010
Last date for receipt of completed Application forms: 15 March 2010
Any dispute with regard to any matter relating to admission shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
