Kannada Language Test/Technical Written Test Notification

A Notification dated 01.01.2010 was issued inviting application through online for recruitment of Assistant Engineers (Civil/Electrical/ Mechanical/Instrumentation) and Junior Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical) in Karnataka Power Corporation Limited from 01.01.2010 to 20.01.2010.  As informed in the Web Notification, the Kannada Language test and Technical written test will be conducted at the places and date as noted below for the eligible candidates who have applied through online.

Kannada Language Test/Technical written test will be held for the eligible candidates, who have applied for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil /Electrical/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation) and Junior Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical) through "Online" as per the above notification at Bangalore as hereunder.

Date of written/language test: 14.03.2010

I. Exam:

Kannada Language Test : Candidates who have not studied Kannada as one of the subjects in SSLC or equivalent examination or where medium of instruction is not Kannada in SSLC or equivalent exam, have to pass a Kannada Language Test.  The Kannada Language Test shall be for 100 marks and its standard will be at the level of third language in SSLC. The Kannada Language Test will be held prior to the Technical written test on the same day.  The Kannada Language test is of two hours duration. Those who pass the Kannada Language test are only eligible to appear for Technical Written Test.

       1. Assistant Engineer (Civil /Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation)
           Date : 14.03.2010, Time: 8 A.M. to 10 A.M.

      2. Junior Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical)
          Date: 14.03.2010, Time: 8 A.M. to 10 A.M.

II. Exam:

Technical written Test : The Technical written test is of two hours duration and question paper consists 100 marks to test the knowledge of the candidates in the relevant Technical subjects. Questions will be objective type with multiple choice answers.  The candidates have to use only BLACK BALL POINT PEN to mark on the OMR sheet (Objective Mark Response Sheet)

      1. Assistant Engineer (Civil)
         Date: 14.03.2010, Time: 12 Noon to 2 PM.

     2. Junior Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical)
        Date: 14.03.2010, Time: 12 Noon to 2 PM.

    3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical/Instrumentation)
        Date: 14.03.2010, Time: 3.30 PM. to 5.30 PM.

NOTE: The candidates are requested to be present at the test centres 30 minutes before commencement of the Test(s). The candidates are not allowed to appear for the examination after 30 minutes of the start of the Kannada Language Test/Technical written test.
