The Vivek Education Society's - Vivek College of Commerce was established in the year 1962 as a Linguistic Minority Institution (Tamil / Malayalam Minority). The management members consisted of people from state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

VES was committed to cater to the children of these linguistic minority communities. VES commenced its educational activities by establishing a primary school for these students.
