ABV – Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management (ABV-IIITM), is situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. The Institute was initially operating from its temporary site in Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Gwalior(MITS). The Institute had been provided nearly 15,000 sq. feet covered area in the high voltage laboratory complex of MITS without charging the monthly rent with a proviso that the permanent fixtures created should become the property of MITS after IIITM moves to its permanent location. IIITM Gwalior would carry to its new campus all the equipment, furniture, AC and electric fittings and all other items, which are transportable.
The All India Council for Technical Education constituted a working group in May 1995 consisting of eminent professionals, academics and others in the areas of IT, management and communications to deliberate on the issues relating to IT and prepare a Theme paper. This group prepared a basic document underlining the basic need of establishment of a National Centre in the area of IT, covering the academic programmes, thrust areas, faculty structure, infrastructure requirements, method of funding and governance model.

1. Integrated Post Graduate Programme (IPG) :
(i) B.Tech(ICT) + M.Tech. (ICT)
(ii) B.Tech(ICT) + MBA
2. M.Tech - Information Communication Technology (ICT): Following specialized programmes in M.Tech are offered by the institute

3. Master of Business Administration (MBA): Students of MBA program are also offered specialized programmes in the following areas.

Admission:
IPG: Current IPG batch has been admitted through AIEEE conducted by CBSE.
M.Tech: Admission is done through GATE followed by Personal Interview.
MBA: Admission is done through CAT followed by GD / Personal Interview with due consideration of Academic Record and Work Experience.
