Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University is a co-educational private university from the state of Tamil Nadu, India. SRM University has four sprawling campuses, with plenty of greenery around. The university has four campuses in Tamil Nadu and one in Modinagar, near Delhi. Learning is an enjoyable experience here, with inspiring libraries and stimulating discussion rooms, large playgrounds and state-of-the-art labs.
In 1968, Mr. T.R. Pachamuthu, the Chancellor, SRM University, began his pursuit to provide top class education by establishing a school - 'Florence Nightingale Primary School' - in Chennai in the year 1968. In the same year, the Valliammai Society in honour of his mother Mrs. R. Valliammai, was founded. Previously functioning under Anna University as SRM Engineering College, the institute gained deemed status in 2003-04, and was renamed SRM University.
In 2006, The deemed university then attained the status of a full-fledged university, under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. An upgraded syllabus and international teaching methods, designed by SRM's International Advisory Board (IAB), launched SRM University way ahead of the rest.
1. Kattankulathur campus, Chennai
The university has two campus sections, Main and Annexe Campus, covering 38 blocks, spread over 300 acres (1.2 km2). A vast campus housing the faculties of Engineering, Medicine & Health Sciences, Management and Science & Humanities - the SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Center and the SRM Hotel are also located here. Round the clock security, ATM, Post Office, departmental stores, the SRM Hotel's restaurants and numerous canteens are among the many facilities here.
2. Ramapuram campus, Chennai
The dental college currently occupies this quaint and serene campus. Consisting of five academic blocks spread over 25 acres (100,000 m2), this enclave provides the facilities and infrastructure necessary for medical and health sciences students to pursue their programs. The campus houses the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Easwari Engineering College.
3. Modinagar Campus, Uttar Pradesh
The campus is spread over many acres of lush green lawn environment at Modinagar on Delhi-Merrut highway with many topographical features all around. The location of the campus provides an environment for innovation and creativity. Roads within the campus are wide and clean. The academic building accommodates various teaching activities, include personality development and communication skills which derives student’s ability to emerge them to become a good leader. The aroma of learning can be felt within the campus all around. Students and teachers share an abyss of knowledge,that makes this campus a zone of compatibility and comfort.

4. Trichy Campus, Tamil Nadu
SRM setup a medical College on the outskirts of Trichy in 2008. It is located in Siruganur, on the Trichy-Chennai highway at a distance of 28 km from Tiruchirappalli. A new 60-acre campus at Trichy will offer degrees in Medicine, Engineering and Science & Humanities.
