Admission Test (Only For Boys)
Applications are invited from boys (whose parents/guardians normally reside in Delhi for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun (Uttrakhand) for JAN, 2011 term which will be conducted at a selected centre located in Delhi on 01st JUNE (Tuesday) and 02nd JUNE (Wednesday), 2010.
Entry Age: Candidates appearing for the above test should not be less than 11 1/2 years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 015t JAN, 2011, i.e. they should have been born not earlier than 02nd JAN 1998 and not later than 01st JULY, 1999.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates should either be studying in class VII or have passed class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC.
Scheme of Examination: The examination comprises of:
(a) Written Examination: The written part of the examination will consist of three papers, namely, English & Mathematics (on 01st JUNE, 2010) and General Knowledge (on 02nd JUNE, 2010).
(b) Viva Voce: The interview will be held for those candidates only who qualify the written examination.
(c) Medical Examination: The candidates selected after the viva-voce will undergo a medical examination at selected military hospitals and only those candidates who are found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC.
Procedure to Obtain Application Forms: Copies of the prospectus with application forms and set of old question papers can be obtained from the Commandant, RIMC, Dehradun (Uttrakhand) on payment of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty only) through Demand Draft in favour of THE COMMANDANT RIMC, DEHRADUN Drawer Branch STATE BANK OF INDIA. TEL BHAWAN, DEHRADUN (BANK CODE-01576). Locally printed / Xeroxed and without RIMC hologram (Seal) forms will be rejected. Kindly note that the application forms alongwith prospectus etc can be obtained directly from "The Commandant Rashtriya Indian Military College. Dehradun Cantt., Uttrakhand and NOTfrom Examination Cell, Directorate of Education, Delhi-110054.
Last date: Applications in duplicate on prescribed form accompanied by a Bank Draft drawn at STATE BANK OF INDIA, TEL BHAWAN (BANK CODE 01576) DEHRADUN only will be accepted for Rs. 50/- (Rs. 5/- in case of Scheduled cast and scheduled tribe candidates) in favour of Commandant RIMC, Dehradun and documents to be attached with
application form: three passport size photographs, Birth Certificate, SC/ST Certificate and a Certificate from Principal of the school in original with photograph attested on it stating date of birth and in which class studying. Application forms of those candidates whose parents/guardians reside in Delhi, should reach to the Examination Cell, Directorate of Education, Room No.222-A, Old Secretariat, Delhi-110054 on or before 31th March, 2010.
