For filling up Faculty Positions :

National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-R) invites applications from Indian nationals belonging to reserved (SC, ST, OBC) categories, possessing excellent academic background along with commitment to quality teaching and potential for carrying out relevant research, for faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor While Ph D degree will be a mandatory requirement for appointment to all the posts in the regular cadre. candidates without Ph.D degree may be appointed to the post of Assistant Professor on contract for a maximum of 3 years (5 years in exceptional cases) duration or till the candidate acquires Ph.D degree.

The contract position will be regularized with effect from the date of joining on acquiring Ph.D. degree Salary. allowances and other incentives will be as per 6th CPC recommendations as applicable to the Centrally Funded Technical Institutes as notified by the Ministry of HRD. Govt of India.

Reservation: As per Government of India rules.
