ON LINE IT SECURITY COURSES ANNOUNCEMENT 2010-11
The Institute of Forensic Science, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to following online Diploma/Certificate Courses. The courses commencing from 1st February, 2010 are designed to meet the requirements of current and next generation of IT Security experts in addition to Law Enforcement agencies, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers and others.
Important dates:
Courses commencing date: 1st February 2010.
Submission of Registration and course fees: January 28th 2010
Last date for submission of application forms: 15th January 2010.
Examination:
For Professional Certificate Courses: April 2010
For Diploma Course in Cyber Security: July 2010
1. Diploma in cyber security: (6 month)
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria shall be a Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks. The candidate should possess basic knowledge of computer theory and practical aspects.
Fees- Indian Students:
Registration fees to be submitted along with the application form is INR 1000/-
The course fees to be paid after the confirmation of registration is INR 30,000/-
The examination fees after completion of the course to be paid is INR 1500/-
Fees- NRI and Foreign Students:
Registration fees to be submitted along with the application form is $ 50/-
The course fees to be paid after the confirmation of registration is $ 1000/-
The examination fees after completion of the course to be paid is $ 60/-
2. Certification in information security: (3 month)
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria shall be a Bachelor degree in any discipline with 50% marks. The candidate should possess basic knowledge of computer theory and practical aspects.
Fees-Indian Students:
Registration fees to be submitted along with the application form is INR 1000/-
The course fees to be paid after the confirmation of registration is INR 25000/-
The examination fees after completion of the course to be paid is INR 1500/-
Fees-NRI and Foreign Students:
Registration fees to be submitted along with application form is $ 50/-
The course fees to be paid after the confirmation of registration is $ 800/-
The examination fees after completion of the course to be paid is $ 60/-
3. Certification in Network Security: (3 month)
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria shall be a Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 50% marks. The candidate should possess basic knowledge of computer theory and practical aspects.
Fees-Indian Students:
Registration fees to be submitted along with application form is INR 1000/-
The course fees to be paid after confirmation of registration is INR 15000/-
The examination fees after completion of the course is INR 1500/-
Fees-NRI and Foreign Students:
Registration fees to be paid along with application form is INR $ 50/-
The course fees to be paid after the confirmation of registration is $ 500/-
The examination fees after completion of the course is $ 60/-
Admission Process: Eligible candidates after due verification of their educational qualifications will be permitted to register for the training which will be online for three months in case of certificate courses and for six months in case of Diploma course on payment of registration fees as applicable. The final examination will be of four hour duration in each case.

The format of application form is enclosed which can be obtained from GFSU Office at Gandhinagar or can be downloaded from the website www.gfsu.edu.in . All payments have to be made by DD in the name of 'Registrar, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University' payable at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
