Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is one of the most sought after MBA entrance examination among the engineering students in India, popularly known as JMET.
The "Joint Management Entrance Test" (JMET) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the 2-Year full time Post-Graduate Degree Programs in Management offered by the IITs & IISc. Currently IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay (SJMSoM), IIT Delhi , IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur (VGSoM), IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee are offering such Programs in Management. The IITs and IISc use the results of JMET to short-list the candidates for subsequent part of the selection process.
JMET is only a qualifying examination to seek admission. It is not mandatory that all candidates who are declared as qualified will be called for Group Discussion / Interview etc. Calling the candidates for such later process of selection is the prerogative of the admitting Institute.
JMET qualified candidates may contact the management schools/departments of the concerned institutes for additional information, if any. It may be noted that the GATE/ JMET offices will not respond to queries on the admission procedure.
