Special Recruitment Drive for Filling up the Backlog Vacancies of SC/ST from MACS-Agharkar Research Institute.
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following temporary posts:
(A) ‘Technical Assistant A’ in the Biometry Group of Animal Sciences Division
No. of Post: 1 (One) which is reserved for SC
Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800 and admissible allowances.

Qualifications:
Essential: (a)1st Class B.Sc. with Food Science & Nutrition/ Health Science/ Biostatistics/ Biochemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Molecular Biology & (b) 5 yrs. Experience of working on research projects.
Desirable: 1st class M.Sc. in the above subjects with 1 year’s experience in (i) handling sophisticated equipments required for food and clinical estimation OR industrial experience. (ii) nutrition related projects involving field survey, data analysis using statistical software's.
(B) ‘Technical Assistant A’ in the Chemistry Group of Animal Sciences Division
No. of Post: 1 (One) which is reserved for ST
Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800 and admissible allowances
Post Code: TAA-CHEM
Qualifications:
Essential: Essential:1st Class B.Sc. Chemistry with 1 year’s experience.
Desirable: Research experience in `Natural Product Chemistry’ or `Synthetic Organic Chemistry’.

Last date for receipt of application is 31.01.2010.
Age Limit : 28 yrs relaxable by 5 years for SC & ST. DP, HRA, CCA, DA, TA. etc. are applicable as per Central Govt. Rules. (TME at initial stage Rs.18731/- approx.)
GENERAL : No application fee for SC/ST candidates applying with copy of the caste certificate issued by competent authority. Apply in the prescribed format available on Website www.aripune.org., to the Director ARI, Pune along with attested copies of certificates of qualifications, stating the Code No. on envelope before the last date. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification. The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview.
In case of number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.
