The Institute of Mathematics and Applications, (IMA) is situated at Bhubaneswar in Orissa and It was established by the government of Orissa in 1999. Now the office of the Institute functioning in the 2nd Floor of Surya Kiran Building, Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar from September 2005. In July 2009, IMA acquired its own residential campus, built by Tata Steel in Bhubaneswar city, when it was established as a full fledged, degree granting academic institution.

Campus:

The main institute is a 7000 m2 (approximately 75,350 ft2) complex, which was designed by architect Karan Grover, with an investment of Rs. 140 million. The 23 acre campus also includes computer laboratories, classrooms, a library, as well as residential accommodations
