National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) is situated at Noida in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh state. National Institute of Biologicals has been established as an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOH&Fw)-Government of India. registered in January 1992 (vide No. S-22590) under the Societies Registration Act 1860. laid down in Bye-Laws of the institute.
The institute campus has 20 buildings occupying a total floor space of approx 35000sq mtr with effect from 2007. Ground coverage of the campus is 20% and rest of the area is developed with sprawling lawns, splendid Greens, concrete road and stone paths.
NIB is located at A-32, Sector-62, Institutional Area, NOIDA (UP) on the outskirts of Delhi in Sector-62, Noida, U.P. It is at a distance of 40 kms from Indira Gandhi International Airport, 32 kms from Domestic Airport, 25 kms from old Delhi Railway Station, 15 kms from Nizammudin Railway Station and 20 kms from New Delhi Railway Station, and 22 kms from Interstate Bus Terminus of Delhi.
The institute responsibly assures and reviews the quality of number of Biological products available through domestic manufacturers or imports. The operations are carried out in the state of the art Facility of the Institute and in close coordination with Government of India regulatory authorities as Office of Drug Controller of India, Indian Pharmacopeia's Commission.
