Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) is situated near Vivek Vihar in East Delhi well connected by the Blue and Red lines of the Delhi Metro. SSCBS is a premier institute of undergraduate management studies under the University of Delhi, India. It is named after Sukhdev Thapar, a prominent freedom fighter during the pre-independence era. The college was established in 1987 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development as the first institute of collegiate business school in India imparting management education at an undergrad level. It is regarded as one of the best undergraduate business school in Asia.

Admission:

The selection criteria comprises of an eliminative objective written test (common for BBS & BFIA programs), an interview, a group discussion and performance in class XII. In the year 2009, around 217 students were selected from over 20,000 applicants making SSCBS one of the most competitive undergraduate college in India. Application process for the same begin in April of every year with the entrance exam held on first Sunday of the month of June. Selection for the BSc Computer Science and PGDCA course is based solely on merit.

Placements

CBS has built its reputation by the practical approach to teaching theory grounded in real-world application. Its placements rank as one of the best in India and are maintained through a dedicated Career Development Centre and Central Placement Cell of the Delhi University. Highest packages offered are in excess of Rs. 10 lakhs with average packages of over Rs 5 lakhs. The college has also furnished 100% placements over the years.

Apart from serving as the interface between the students and the companies, we, at CDC, offer a host of services in the areas of placements, internships and live projects.
