Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar started functioning in 1987 and today it is one of the finest management institutes in country. The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar owes its origin to a Social Contract between the Jesuit Society of Orissa (JSO) and the Government of Orissa. The Management of the institute is in the hands of a Governing Board, consisting of representatives from the Jesuit Society, Government of India, Government of Orissa and eminent industrialists and educationists. XIMB is one of the most Technology intensive campuses in India. We have made a commitment to deliver outstanding information resources and the latest information technology to the students.
The institute is located in a 20 - acre campus in the Institutional Area of Bhubaneswar. The campus has classroom facilities, administrative buildings, hostels, Executive Hostel, Faculty Quarters. These include 4 large class rooms , 4 medium class rooms , 8 syndicate rooms , a multimedia hall, training halls. All the class rooms are equipped with Audio Video Systems, Overhead projectors, Computers, Wireless Hotspots. There are three students hostels with a combined capacity of 314 seats. The executive hostel has 48 air-condition rooms with attached toilets. The hub of recreation in the institute undoubtedly, is the Multi Purpose Hall (MPH). The Institute provides quarters for the faculty on the campus. These are two bedroom apartments with a large dining-cum-drawing hall and two toilets.
